What is a Buddy Bench?

Buddy Bench programs are a simple idea first brought to the US in 2013 by 7-year-old boy named Christian Bucks who had learned of one while researching an international school in Germany. The primary objective of the program is to eliminate loneliness and foster friendship on the playground.

Starting in the spring of 2021, Angelic Kindness will begin installing Buddy Benches at elementary schools in the Valley View School District.  Watch the video to hear Angelic Kindness President & Co-Founder Debbie  Watson provide the timetable for providing VVSD with Buddy Benches at  the March 22 VVSD Board Meeting.  Debbie appears about 19 minutes in.
